I am not sure about this book. I had trouble getting into it. I didn't really have any connection with any of the characters. And I wanted more action. She was meant to be a tough Vampire slayer but I thought she was scared a lot. The beginning was good. I am not sure about the wererats? But the middle was not that interesting. It wasn't until near the end when she started killing Vampires that I thought it got good. I do want to read the next one in the series because I have been recommended by a friend to read this series. I want to give it a chance. I do like Anita and Jean-Claude's relationship. I hope that continues through to the next book. And I also liked Edward as well.
